Maximilian Meyer is a footballer from Germany, currently playing for Schalke 04 as a midfielder. He was born in 1995 and came through the youth ranks of Sardegna Oberhausen, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, MSV Duisburg and in 2009 joined the academy of FC Schalke 04. He was a part of the team, winning the 2011/12 German U-19 Championship, beating Bayern Munich 2-1. He proved himself a good player staying with the Schalke youth team and was offered a professional contract in 2012/13.
Max Meyer has represented the Germany national team at youth levels and was called up to represent Germany at the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship, where he became the top-scorer and was named the best player of the tournament.
