Maximilian Haas is a German defender born on 7 December 1985 in Freising, Germany.
Haas started out his professional career at Freising in 2003. He played for one of the youth teams before reaching the senior side. During four years he considerably developed his skills. However Haas had no experience in the high-flight football so he moved to the Bayern Munich in 2007 where he played for the reserve squad for four years.
During this time he sometimes earned a place in the starting XI of the reserve team. He trained very hard to be promoted to the Bayern Munich main squad. For a three-year spell Haas featured in many games for the reserve squad but he didn’t make his debut for the first team.
In January 2011 Maximilian was loaned to the English club Middlesbrough where he was given the opportunity to come on the pitch. He didn’t manage to become a regular first team player but from time to time he appeared in the starting eleven. Following the end of the season Haas received several transfer offers from different outfits. União de Leiria made the most advantageous offer that’s why the football player signed for this club. In the 2011/2012 season Haas sometimes got into the starting line-up which allowed him to adapt to the new conditions quickly.
In June 2012 Maximilian Haas penned a three-year contract with the Portuguese side Braga but was released in 2013.
