Maximiliano Moralez plays at the position of attacking midfielder for Atalanta BC. He was born on 27 February 1987 in Granadero Baigorria, Argentina.
The player’s youth career developed at Racing Club academy where he studied for several years. For the time spent in the academy he became one of the most excelling graduates. Due to his achievements Maximiliano earned promotion to the senior team.
In 2005 Moralez signed his first professional contract with Racing Club. For two years from 2005 till 2007 the player frequently appeared in the starting lineup. In total he featured in 47 matches scoring 8 goals for the club.
In 2007 an Argentine midfielder attracted attention of Russian FC Moscow with which he ultimately signed a contract. However, the 2007/08 season turned out to be unsuccessful as he rarely showed up in the club matches thus appearing only in 6 games for the whole season. In the ensuing year Maximiliano was loaned to his native club Racing where he spent a very productive season. He netted 8 goals in 37 matches for the club. By the end of the loan spell the player received a call up from Argentine club Vélez Sársfield. He was glad to the opportunity to move back to his home country, so he agreed to a contract. During two seasons spent with the club he scored 20 goals in 72 appearances. His excelling performance and his revival after the unsuccessful season in Russia caught the eye of various European clubs. But Italian Atalanta BC was the first to get hold of the midfielder. In the summer of 2011 Moralez signed a contract with the club according to which he entered the starting lineup.
In 2007 Maximiliano featured in 16 matches and netted 5 goals for the Argentina U-20 team. Since 2011 he has been playing for the Argentina national football team.
