Marcelino Junior Lopes Arruda, also known as Mazola, is a forward of Hangzhou Greentown. He was born on 8 May 1989 in Guarulhos, Brazil.
In 2000 Marcelino Arruda started his junior career at the academy of Portuguesa. The young footballer joined the U-13 team of the club where he delivered impressive performance. Stiff competition in the youth team motivated Arruda to improve his football skills.
In 2007 the footballer completed a move to the academy of Ituano where he spent only several months before joining São Paulo. Arruda finished his youth career at the academy of this club, and then he was offered a move to the main team. In 2008 the forward made only several appearances for São Paulo that’s why he was sent on loan in the next year.
In 2009 Marcelino Arruda was farmed out to Toledo where the Brazilian forward spent half a year. During this period he came on the pitch 23 times and scored several goals. In 2010 Arruda joined Paulista where he also spent half a year as a loan player. In the same year Marcelino was loaned to Guarani.
Arruda spent a complete season with this club, scoring 6 goals in 29 matches. In 2011 the Brazilian footballer took part in 21 games and kicked 3 goals for Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds. In 2012 the Brazilian footballer signed a long-term loan contract with Hangzhou Greentown where he continues to play until now.
