Mbark Boussoufa is a winger for Lokomotiv Moscow and Morocco national football team.
Mbark was brought up at Ajax and Chelsea youth systems. His professional career began at Belgian Gent, where he featured in 59 matches and managed 14 goals. In 2002 Boussoufa became Footballer of the Year in Belgium. Then another Belgian side Anderlecht bought him for €3.5 million. At the new club Boussoufa won that same title two more times.
In March 2011 it became known that Boussoufa is going to move from Anderlecht to FC Terek Grozny, but the transfer failed. Mubarak completed a move to Anzhi Makhachkala instead.
In August 2013, after financial breakup in the club, Boussoufa completed a move to Lokomotiv Moscow FC.
Boussoufa was born in the Netherlands and could’ve played for the national team, but he chose Morocco. The midfielder debuted for the team in May 2006.
Boussoufa has numerous awards: Belgian Golden Shoe in 2006 and 2010, Belgian Ebony Shoe (2006, 2009 and 2010), threefold Belgian Young Footballer of the Year and many others.
Since 2006 Mbark Boussoufa made 27 appearances and managed 5 goals for Morocco.
