Michael Gregoritsch was born on 18 April 1994 in Graz, Austria. He began his career in 2001 for Grazer AK where he played for 7 years. After that he moved to Kapfenberger SV and performed for a new squad until he was 15 years and 361 days old, when he made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga team. He netted his first league goal in that match setting two historic records being the youngest player in the League and the youngest player to score. In a month he was transferred to the reserve team for a few games and then returned to the first team. Gregoritsch performed in 44 matches and scored 4 goals for an Austrian club. Though it wasn’t a great achievement, it contributed to the footballer’s development. Being in the reserve team he appeared in 9 games and netted two goals. Thereafter Michael moved to neighbouring Germany.
In 2011/2012 the player moved to Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee, but spent next season on loan back at Kapfenberger. Nevertheless, he soon became a permanent player of the German squad, but thereafter didn’t manage to perform in any match.
At international level Michael played only once, on 9 August 2011, for U-21 national team. He then appeared in the match against the Ireland national team from the dugout during the 63rd minute.
