Michele Canini is a center back for Atalanta. He was born on 5 June, 1985 in Brescia, Italy.
Michele’s youth career started at Atalanta football academy, where he played for various Atalanta youth teams, finally moving the senior squad of the local team Atalanta in 2004.
However, that same season he was loaned to Sambenedettese with the aim to acquire experience and become Atalanta regular.
After playing in 33 matches for Sambenedettese in the 2004/05 season Michele was invited to join Cagliari.
In 2005 Atalanta and Cagliari finally agreed on the terms of Canini transfer. From 2005 to 2012 Michele was a regular in Cagliari starting eleven, making 176 appearances and netting 2 goals.
In 2012 he joined Genoa and half a year later - his native Atalanta. In 2014 Canini was loaned to Chievo Verona.
From 2003 to 2005 Michele represented various Italian youth teams, totaling 27 matches and 1 goal.
