Michele Pazienza is an Italian footballer born on 5 August 1982 in San Severo, Italy. He currently plays as a defensive midfielder for Serie A club Bologna.
The product of ACD Foggia’s youth system, Michele made his professional debut for then-Serie C2 club in 2000. He played in 88 games during a three-year stint at the club helping Foggia to break into Serie C1. In 2003, Pazienza made his Serie A debut with Udinese. In two years, he moved on loan to Fiorentina where he made 44 strong appearances during the 2005-2007. After these two successful seasons the Viola signed the player on a permanent contract. However, the next season in Florence Pazienza did not get enough playing time amassing only 8 games throughout the 2007/08 campaign. In between 2008 and 2011, the defensive midfielder enjoyed better fortune in Napoli’s jersey making 106 league appearances for the Azzurri. In the summer 2011, Pazienza joined the Italian heavyweight Juventus on a free transfer. In August 2012, he was signed by Bologna where he plays to the present day.
