Milan Smiljanić is a midfielder of Partizan. He was born on 19 November 1986 in Kalmar, Sweden.
Milan’s youth career took off in the academy of Belgrade side Partizan, where the footballer performed for the junior squad of the club and developed his skills.
In 2005, Smiljanić penned his first professional contract with ‘The Black & Whites’ and netted one goal in 48 fixtures for the team during two seasons. In 2007, the midfielder transferred to Espanyol and made 47 appearances for the club before completing a temporary move to Sporting Gijón in 2010. In the summer the same year, Milan sealed a loan deal with his boyhood Partizan and fired one goal in 18 games for the team during his spell, but the management decided to secure his services on permanent basis.
In 2011, the footballer put pen to paper of a contract with Partizan and clinched the SuperLiga Champion title in the following season.
From 2006 till 2009, Smiljanić took part in 28 matches and found the net two times for the Serbia national U-21 squad. From 2007, he has been capped six times and contributed one goal for the senior national team.
