Miroslav Klose is a striker for Lazio. He was born on 9 June 1978 in Opole, Poland. Miroslav’s family left for France in 1981 and to then to Germany in 1987. Klose began his career at FC Homburg and then moved to Kaiserslautern in 1999. During his second season at Kaiserslautern Miroslav scored 11 goals in 45 appearances. During the following season the young striker made 35 appearances and scored 16 goals.
In 2004 Klose was transferred to Werder for €5 million. During 3 seasons with the Bremen club Miroslav scored 63 goals. In 2006 Miroslav became The Best Scorer of Bundesliga.
In 2007 Bayern Munich acquired the talented forward from Werder to eventually form a successful attacking duo of Klose-Toni. Miroslav quickly adapted and started to score a lot of goals for the club. In 2008 Klose became Bundesliga Champion.
In 2001 Klose rejected the proposal of Poland to play for the national team and debuted for Germany instead. In 2002 Miroslav became The Best Scorer of the German national team. Klose performed outstandingly at the World Cup 2006, became the best scorer of the world championship and was awarded World Cup Golden Shoe.
The contract with Bayern expired in the summer of 2011 and Klose left the club because the new contract didn’t suit him. In June 2011 Miroslav signed a 2-year contract with Lazio.
