Miroslav Lobantsev was born on May 27, 1995 in Moscow. He plays as a keeper for FC Lokomotiv Moscow.
Miroslav started playing football with the youth academy of FC Spartak Moscow, where he first played as a defender, but at the age of 9 he took up the keeper’s position and has been holding since. In 2004, the footballer left Spartak and joined the youth system of FC Lokomotiv Moscow. On August 20, 2011 Miroslav made his first appearance for the youth squad of the club coming on in the 87th minute of the Russia Youth League match against FC Krasnodar.
Miroslav’s rapid development did not pass unnoticed by the then team manager Slaven Bilitch, who soon invited the young keeper to take part in the summer training camp in Slovenia. Lobantsev featured in all the four friendlies and did not concede a single goal. In June Bilitch announced that he was deeply impressed by the young keeper’s performance and added that if the first-choice keeper Guilherme would not be able to recuperate from the injury for the first Premier League matchday, it was Miroslav Lobantsev who would likely take the position in the net. And on July 20, the young player featured in the starting lineup for the first-round match against FC Mordovia Saransk, thereby making an official debut for the first side. Then he conceded 2 goals but the team still managed to capture an 2-3 away victory.
As an international player Miroslav Lobantsev currently represents the Russia U-17 national football squad.
