Modibo Maïga is a striker of West Ham United. He was born on 3 September 1987 in Bamako, the capital of Mali.
In 2003 the footballer’s professional career took off in Stade Malien. One year later, Modibo moved to Raja Casablanca, where he performed during two years and helped the club to lift the Moroccan Cup.
In 2007 Maïga was invited to French side Le Manns, where he spent three following seasons. In 2010 the striker transferred to Sochaux and netted 24 goals in 59 matches for the new club, including 15 goals in the 2010/2011 season, which earned him a place on the list of ten top goalscorers. In July 2012, English side West Ham United secured Modibo’s services and penned a contract with him.
In 2014 Maiga was loaned to Queens Park Rangers.
From 2007, the striker has been capped for the Mali national team.
