Mohamed Amsif, a Moroccan footballer, was born on 7 February 1989 in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is a goalkeeper of Augsburg and the Moroccan national team.
The footballer featured for a few German youth systems: DSV Düsseldorf, TuRU Düsseldorf and Wuppertaler SV Borussia. Mohamed moved to Schalke 04 in 2005. In three years he started his senior career at the club, playing mostly for reserves in 2008-2010 seasons.
In 2010, Amsif moved to Augsburg, where at the beginning of the season remained on the substitutes’ bench. Until the end of the season Mohamed performed only in one match because of the main goalkeeper’s injury. His career at Augsburg really took off in the 2011/12 season.
Mohamed Amsif performed for the German national youth team until 2010. At the senior level, he chose the Moroccan team, making his first appearance in November 2011 in the match against Cameroon.
