Mohamed Diamé is a midfielder of West Ham United. He was born on 14 June 1987 in Créteil, France.
Mohamed’s career took off in the youth team of Lens, where the footballer played till 2005. In 2005 the midfielder was offered to join Lens B, but had to leave it due to heart disease. After making a full recovery, Diamé transferred to Spanish side Linares, where he performed during six months before completing a move to Rayo Vallecano. Top-flight teams like Spanish side Barcelona and Real Madrid and English side Arsenal took an interest in the footballer, when he was playing for ‘Franjirrojos’, but Mohamed opted for sealing a deal with Wigan Athletic in August 2009.
In June 2012, London side West Ham United secured the midfielder’s services and penned a three-year deal.
From 2011, Diamé was capped 12 times for the Senegal national team.
