Moisés Moura Pinheiro is a Brazilian centre-back who currently wears the jerseys of Portuguesa. He was born on July 25, 1979 in Nanuque, Brazil.
Moisés began his professional career with Esporte Clube Vitória. During his three-season stay at the club he registered 46 appearances and netted one goal. He also helped his team clinch two back-to-back Campeonato Baiano titles as well as the Campeonato do Nordeste title. His outstanding performance caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs including Milan.
In 2002 the centre-half moved to Russia and sealed a contract with Spartak Moscow. At first the player couldn’t settle in the new area. But soon Moisés battled back to fitness and even scored a goal in the match against Sokol Saratov. In 2003 he led his team to the Russian Cup triumph. In total, the stopper figured 43 times for the club. After that glory Moisés switched to Krylia Sovetov. Soon he became a cornerstone in the club’s defense. In 2004 the team claimed bronze medals of the Russian Premier League. At the end of the year the commanding centre-back illegally left the club and went to Brazil to sign for Cruzeiro. In February 2007 the Brazilian side had to pay $1,058,000 to Krylia Sovetov.
In 2007 Moisés was transferred to Flamengo where he featured 16 times. That year the club was crowned Campeonato Carioca champions. Later the footballer moved on loan to Portuguese club Boavista. During the 2008-2012 period the Brazilian stopper wore the jerseys of Braga and Al Rayyan. In 2012 Shanghai Shenhua secured the services of the player.
In 2013 the player returned to Brazil to join Serie A side Portuguesa.
