Morgan De Sanctis is a goalkeeper for Roma. He was born on 26 March 1977.
Morgan’s career started at Pescara youth academy. In 1994 De Sanctis joined the club’s first team and played in Italian Serie B for 3 years. In 1997 the young goalkeeper continued his career at Juventus F.C. His stay at the team wasn’t particularly active as he played only 3 matches in 2 seasons.
In 1999 Morgan was transferred to Udinese. For 3 seasons with the Bianconeri he had been a back-up for Luigi Turci. Since 2002/03 season De Sanctis started to appear more often and by 2007 he had 194 appearances.
In July 2007 Morgan left for the Spanish Sevilla where he featured in 8 games during one season.
In 2008 Turkish Galatasaray loaned De Sanctis for a season. The talks between Galatasaray and Sevilla were rather tense though. The Turks even wanted to find a more amenable goalkeeper but in the end they agreed to Sevilla terms. While playing for the Turkish club Morgan partook in every match of the Süper Lig, the UEFA Europa League and the Champions League.
In 2009 Morgan De Sanctis transferred to Napoli to make 147 appearances in 4 seasons.
In the summer 2013 the goalkeeper switched to Roma after the new manager Benitez brought in the Spanish keeper Pepe Reina.
From 1994 to 1995 Morgan played 7 matches for the Italian U-18 team. From 1999 to 2000 he was capped 7 times for Italy U-21.
From 2005 Morgan played in 6 matches of the Italy national team.
