Mounir El Hamdaoui is the Dutch striker of Moroccan origin under contract with Fiorentina. He was born on 14 July 1984 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
El Hamdaoui had been fostered by SBV Excelsior. In 2004 Mounir moved to Tottenham Hotspur, from 2005 to 2006 he was loaned out to Derby County. In June 2006 he became the player of Willem II, banging in 3 goals in 7 matches for this team.
In August 31 2007 Mounir started wearing the shirt of AZ Alkmaar and managed to win the Dutch Eredivisie in 2008/09. In 2010 he signed contract with Ajax and in 2012 moved to Fiorentina.
After one year with the Viola the striker was loaned to Malaga in August 2013.
Since 2008 El Hamdaoui is also playing for the Moroccan national team.
