Ignacio Monreal Eraso (aka Nacho) plays for the Spanish national team and Arsenal as a defender.
He is a product of the Osasuna youth system. Ignacio made his debut for his native club on October 22, 2006 in a match against Valencia. This player was a part of the Osasuna’s reserve team and had 36 appearances and 3 goals on his account some years before.
He became a main squad player during the season 2007/08 and was maintaining this status from season to season.
During 5 seasons with Osasuna he made 127 appearances with 3 goals. That’s why Málaga expressed a desire to purchase the player. As a result of a €6 mln bid he joined the Andalusian squad. Ignacio made 31 appearances during his very first campaign for the club. After a successfull run with the club Nacho followed Santi Cazorla and moved to Arsenal on the last day of the winter transfer window 2013.
The footballer was called up to the national team of Spain for a game in the European championship of 2009. He was involved only in three games through the whole championship.
