Nadjim Abdou is a midfielder of Millwall. He was born on 13 July 1984 in Martigues, France.
Nadjim’s professional career took off in local Martigues in 2002, when the footballer penned his first senior contract and started to train with the main squad during the pre-season. The head coach and the coaching staff of the club appreciated Abdou’s diligence and gave him an opportunity to make several appearances at the beginning of the 2002/2003 season, which helped the midfielder to clinch a regular place in the starting line-up and fire one goal in 26 fixtures for the team during one year.
In 2003, Nadjim transferred to more prestigious Sedan and featured in a number of games for the new club during his début season, but failed to get a regular spot because of competition from his more experienced and football-wise teammates. The player tried to correspond to the level of the starting XI and trained hard to achieve that, but made only 80 appearances and fired two goals for the team during four years.
In 2007, Abdou moved to English side Plymouth Argyle and quickly adapted to the new atmosphere, which helped him to find the net one time in 31 fixtures for the club during one season. In 2008, Millwall lodged a tempting bid for the midfielder and secured his services on a long-term deal in July the same year. Nadjim became the pivot of the team and chipped in five goals in 176 matches for ‘The Lions’ as of January 2013.
From 2010, the footballer has been capped four times for the Comoros national squad.
