Nathan Antone Jonah Dyer was born on 29 November 1987 in Trowbridge, England. His career took off in the academy of Southampton, where he performed for the youth team of the club.
In 2005 Nathan joined the main team and penned his first senior contract, but immediately went on loan to Burnley. The footballer spent only several months in that club, took part in five games and chipped in two goals.
After the end of his spell in the temporary team, Dyer returned to Southampton and was mainly used as a substitute. He made only 56 appearances and netted his first goal for the team in 2007.
In September 2008 the footballer was sent on loan once again, this time to Sheffield United, where he took part in seven games and found the net one time.
In 2009 Nathan finalized a three-month loan deal with Swansea City. He made 17 appearances and fired two goals, impressing the management of the temporary club, which decided to secure the midfielder’s services on permanent basis. Dyer went on to net seven times in more than 120 matches and continues to play for ‘The Swans’ up till now.
