Nathan Eccleston is a forward, born on 20 December 1990 in Newton Heath, England.
In 2005 Nathan joined the Bury youth football academy. Eccleston was trained to be a striker, because he was showing wonderful play at that position. The footballer’s pace, break-through style of performance and technical skills helped Nathan to become renowned as a talented and promising goalscorer.
The young striker drew the attention of Liverpool scouts in 2006. Eccleston was invited to a trial, where other candidates also made their attempts to get to the club’s academy. Nathan successfully passed all tests and became a trainee of ‘The Reds’ for three following years. He managed to prepare himself for the beginning of his professional career during all that time.
In 2009 the striker was sent on loan to Huddersfield Town, where he spent half of the season and scored one goal in 11 matches. In January 2011 he went on loan to Charlton Athletic. The rest part of the 2010/2011 season was very fruitful for the footballer as he was let on the pitch 21 times and netted three goals. In the summer the same year he signed a loan contract with Rochdale, made five appearances and contributed one goal. In 2012 Nathan penned a new deal with Championship side Blackpool, but was loaned to Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Coventry City.
In 2006 Nathan took part in one match for the England national U-17 team.
