Neal James Eardley is a back of Birmingham City. He was born on 6 November 1988 in Llandudno, Wales.
Neal’s professional career took off in the academy of Oldham Athletic in 2006, when the footballer passed all necessary tests and penned his first senior contract with the club. Eardley was given a chance to come on the pitch in his début season, which made him more confident and helped to clinch a place in the starting XI in a short term. The back made 113 appearances and netted ten goals for the club during three years.
By the end of the 2008/2009 season, Neal agreed all details with English side Blackpool and got ready for a transfer. His signing was completed in the summer 2009, when the footballer put pen to paper of a contract and officially became a part of ‘The Tangerines’. Eardley took part in 104 fixtures and fired two goals for the club.
Later on he switched for Birmingham City.
From 2003 till 2006, the back featured in 14 games and contributed one goal for the Wales national U-17, U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2007, Neal has been capped 16 times for the senior national team.
