Neil Kilkenny is a midfielder, born on 19 December 1985 in Enfield, England.
Neil spent two last years of his youth career in the academy of Arsenal, but his professional performance started in Birmingham City in 2004, when the footballer penned his first senior contract.
However, in November the same year, Kilkenny went on loan to Oldham Athletic and netted four goals in 27 fixtures for the team during his spell. After returning to his parent club, the midfielder started to make occasional appearances, but sealed another temporary deal with Oldham in 2007. Neil fired one goal in 20 games during six months and completed a loan move to Leeds United, where he featured in one match.
In 2008, ‘The Peacocks’ secured the footballer’s services on permanent basis and saw him become an anchor player of the club. Kilkenny managed to become more skilled and self-confident, which helped him to find the net eight times in 122 fixtures for the club during three seasons.
In the summer 2011, the midfielder put pen to paper of a permanent contract with Bristol City and scored one goal in 68 games for ‘The Robins’. In 2013 he served a loan spell at Preston North End and in January 2014 signed a permanent deal with the club.
