Nicholas Edward Powell is a football player from England, born in 1994 in Crewe, England. He came through the youth system of Crewe Alexandra after he joined them at the age of 5. Having graduated, he was promoted to the senior team and made his debut in a 3-2 loss at Cheltenham Town on 19 August 2010. He played for Crewe Alexandra until 2012 and during that period he was named Football League Young Player of the Month in December 2011, in 2012 he won League Two Apprentice of the Year award, was named Crewe Alexandra Young Player of the Year, Crewe Alexandra Player of the Year and in 2012 he scored a goal which was named Crewe Alexandra Goal of the Season.
In July 2012 Nick Powell completed a move to Manchester United on a £6 million deal. His debut there came 21 July 2012 in the match against Ajax Cape Town. His first Premier League game was a 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic, when he was a substitute for Ryan Giggs and netted his first goal for his new team.
In the season 2013/2014 Powell played on loan with Wigan Athletic.
Nick Powell has been called to play for the England national team at all youth levels and in 2011 he was a part of the team, playing in the UEFA European U17 Football Championship, when they reached the semifinal.
