Nicklas Bendtner is a Danish striker.
The player was born in 1988 in Copenhagen and spent his youth playing career in Tårnby Boldklub, Kjøbenhavns Boldklub until in summer 2004 he joined Arsenal. Bendtner made his debut for the first team in October 2005 in the match against Sunderland substituting Quincy Owusu-Abeyie in the final minutes.
For the 2006/07 season he was loaned to Birmingham City to get experience and made his first appearance for the team as Stephen Clemence’s substitute and playing the last half hour he managed to score a goal.
Bendtner returned to the Premier League signing a five-year contract with Arsenal in 2007 and scored his debut Premier League goal in a 2–1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in December 2007. He had a mixed success as his performance was irregular.
In August 2011, Bendtner was loaned to Premier League club Sunderland, where he made 28 appearances and scored 8 goals.
At the very end of the 2012 transfer window Bendtner was loaned to Juventus with an option to stay there on a permanent basis.
All in all Bendtner made just 168 appearances for Arsenal during nine years and found the net 47 times in all tournaments.
In the summer 2014 he was released from Emirates.
