Nicklas Pedersen is a KV Mechelen striker. He was born on 10 October 1987 in Køge, Denmark.
Nicklas launched his career at home in the youth system of Herfølge BK. The head coach immediately entrusted Pedersen with the forward position, where he has played throughout the entire football career.
In 2004 the footballer was promoted to the senior level signing a 3-year contract with the club. Nicklas spent three fruitful seasons at Herfølge BK regularly appearing on the pitch. He scored 18 goals in 41 matches.
In September 2007, Pedersen penned a contract with Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland until 2009. For two years he made only 26 outings and netted 9 goals.
Nicklas got his breakthrough with Dutch club FC Groningen in January 2009. He became an established part of the starting eleven, now and then changing with the other club’s strikers. The Dane found the net 12 times in 69 games.
In 2006 Pedersen was capped at youth international level for the 1st time representing the Denmark U-20 squad. In 2007 Nicklas received a call-up from the U-21 team where he delivered 3 goals in 12 matches. His first senior cap came in 2010.
