Nicolás Bertolo is an Argentine midfielder born on 2 January 1986 in Córdoba, Argentina.
His youth career began at top-flight Club Atlético Boca Juniors where he had a golden chance to play football to a high standard. Playing for the youth side, Nicolás succeeded in taking several junior trophies with his team.
In 2006, a young footballer advanced to Boca Juniors’ professional team. However, he had to mostly warm the bench not receiving enough playing time in the first team. Thus, Bertolo had only 10 games for two seasons with only one goal behind him.
After a season-long loan to Uruguayan side Nacional, he moved to Banfield where he was an emergency midfielder during the 2008/09 season, netting 8 goals in 35 games for the club.
In the summer 2009, an Argentine footballer was signed by Italian Palermo where he cemented a place in the first team but was frequently deployed as a backup player. In the 2010/11 season, he was loaned to Real Zaragoza to have a bash at clashing in La liga. Nicolás Bertolo scored 5 goals in 36 appearances for the Spanish club returning to Rosaneros in 2011. In January 2013 he penned a deal with Mexican side Cruz Azul.
As for 2012, he was capped twice to the Argentina national team making his debut against Nigeria in June 2011.
