Nigel Shola Andre Reo-Coker is a midfielder of Vancouver Whitecaps. He was born on 14 May 1984 in Croydon, London, England.
Nigel started to play football at the age of 13, when he joined the youth system of Wimbledon. The midfielder cruised through all junior levels of the academy and was offered to pen a senior contract in 2002. Two years later, Reo-Coker earned the right to wear a captain’s armband. He made 58 appearances and found the net six times for the club before transferring to West Ham United, which was impressed by the footballer’s performance. Nigel fired 11 goals in 120 fixtures for ‘The Hammers’ during three years and completed a move to Aston Villa, where he netted one goal in 102 matches.
In 2011, the midfielder sealed a deal with Bolton Wanderers, but spent only one season with the team and scored three goals in 37 games.
In 2012, Ipswich Town secured Reo-Coker’s services but he managed to make only 10 appearances for the club and in 2013 moved to an MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.
