Nikolaos Karelis is a Greek attacker, born in 1992. He started playing football after entering the youth football academy of the Ergotelis FC.
The player made his professional debut in April 2008 in a Superleague Greece match when he appeared as a substitute. He became the part of the Ergotelis’s history as the youngest player, who took part in the highest division fixture.
The same year he passed the trial with FC Arsenal London, but the English side didn’t offer a contract to the player and Nikolaos stayed at his home club till 2012. Altogether, Karelis took part in 29 Ergotelis’s fixtures and scored one goal against Panserraikos FC.
The player moved to FC Amkar in 2012, where he signed a three-year contract and made his debut appearance coming off the bench in a game against FC Mordovia.
However, one year later Karelis switched for a Greek side Panathinaikos.
Karelis represented the Greece national football team at U19 and U21 levels.
