Ognjen Damjanović is a Serbian attacker, born on 20 April 1985 in Šabac, SFR Yugoslavia.
Ognjen started playing football at an early age. Later, when he was just 16 years old, he was offered to sign a professional contract with FC Partizan from Belgrade and accepted the deal. There he spent a year playing for the “B” team of the club.
In 2003 the footballer moved to his hometown club FC Mačva Šabac, where he played the next two seasons, scoring 2 goals in 11 appearances. Then he spent some time at lower divisions clubs FC Elan and FC Sileks, before joining FC Big Bull Radnički in 2006. There he finally got enough playing practice and left the club in 2007, adding 11 goals and 41 appearances to his career stats.
Starting from 2008 the footballer represented FC Proleter Novi Sad, where he managed to establish himself as a regular first-team member. The 2010/2011 season was really prolific for the striker, as he hit the net 13 times in 32 appearances, drawing attention of foreign clubs.
As a result the forward was sold to FC Ironi Nir from Ramat HaSharon, representing the Israeli Premier League. The deal was finished on 12 January 2012 and the new signing was immediately included into the first-team line-up, where he stayed for the rest of the season. He managed to feature in 15 games during his half a year stay at the club, being a part of starting XI in 12 of them. He left the club later the same year with 2 goals on his account.
Then he returned to his homeland, as the player’s next destination was recently promoted to the Serbian SuperLiga FC Donji Srem.
