Oleg Ivanov is a Russian midfielder born on 4 August 1986 in Moscow.
Oleg started out his youth career at Spartak Moscow before joining the first team of the giant club in 2004. He made 2 league and 3 European Championship appearances for the club and moved to Khimki for the 2005 season. Ivanov played 32 First Division matches with Khimki before joining Kuban Krasnodar in 2006. Having made 39 solid appearances in his debut season, Oleg helped his new club to break into the Premier League.
In 2008, Ivanov signed a contract with a prominent top-division side FC Krylia Sovetov Samara. He made a total of 69 appearances in all competitions during a three-year tenure at the club.
In 2011, the footballer had a short spell at FC Rostov making 14 appearances. In December 2011, Ivanov joined FC Terek Grozny.
Oleg Ivanov was first called up to Russia national football team in 2008 with a view to prepare for the UEFA Cup. However, the player was not included into the starting lineup, but according to the agreement with Samara club he remained in the national team for trainings and finally became a player of the Russian national football team, substituting the injured player.
