Oleksandr Aliyev is a striker, born on February 3, 1985 in Khabarovsk, Soviet Union in a family of an airforce pilot. His grandfather and father used to play football when they were young. Later the family moved to Kursk, Russia and the boy started to train at Spartak Moscow FC.
In 1999 the young footballer joined the number of most talented and promising players, united by the project Dinamo-1985 Football Academy.
In 2001 Oleksandr started playing for Borysfen Boryspil-2 FC and in 2002 moved to Dynamo Kyiv FC. The forward spent the season of 2005/2006 on loan at Metalurh Zaporizhya FC. After his return to Dynamo Kyiv FC Oleksandr Aliyev showed good performance for the club, having scored 6 goals in 15 matches. He extended his contract with the club till 2011, but is hardly ever chosen for the first team.
In February 2010 Oleksandr Aliyev signed a 3-year contract with Lokomotiv Moscow FC and made an impressive start at the club. However, the second half of the season was very successful and the striker returned to Dynamo Kyiv FC.
In 2012 Oleksandr Aliyev came on loan to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC.
In 2014 Aliyev switched for Anzhi Makhachkala.
Oleksandr Aliyev played for the Ukraine National U17 and U21 Football Teams as well as for the senior squad of the national team.
