Oleksandr Bandura is a Ukrainian professional football goalkeeper currently featuring for Metalurh Donetsk FC. He was born on May 30, 1986 in Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
Oleksandr Bandura’s youth career started at the academy of Smena Sumy FC. In 2004 the goalkeeper was offered to sign a contract with Spartak Sumy FC as a senior player, which meant the beginning of his professional career. Oleksandr Bandura spent most of his first 1.5 years at the club on the bench, having made only 9 appearances. In early 2006 the goalkeeper was invited to play for Yavir Krasnopillya FC for a few months and a season later managed to break into the first squad of the team. In total, Oleksandr Bandura took part in 30 matches of Yavir Krasnopillya FC in the season of 2007/2008.
In 2008 Oleksandr Bandura signed up with Tavriya Simferopol SC, but stayed there for only half a year. From 2009 till 2010 the footballer played for Krymteplytsia Molodizhne FC, where he performed in 45 matches as a first goalkeeper. The player’s good results could not remain unnoticed, and in 2010 he was signed by Metalurh Donetsk FC playing in the Ukrainian Premier League.
