Oleksandr Ivashchenko is a Ukrainian forward who represents FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. He was born on 19 February 1985.
Oleksandr began his career in 1998 at the youth team of FC Dynamo Kyiv. For 4 years the young player was taught the basics of football until he was ready to join Dynamo-3 Kyiv. Therefore, in 2002 Ivashchenko launched his professional career making 2 appearances for the reserve team during the first year.
In 2003 Oleksandr signed for FC Elektron Romny, where he managed to earn only 3 appearances in his second professional season. The situation regarding the amount of game practice has taken a turn for the better when Ivashchenko moved to FC Obolon Kyiv. Over one and a half years, the forward performed for the main and second teams, making 17 and 7 outings respectively. Besides, Oleksandr showed good results delivering 6 goals for the first squad and netting 4 goals for the reserve team of Obolon.
In 2006 the Ukrainian footballer transferred to FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. For two seasons, he quite often appeared both in the starting line-up and as a substitute, scoring 5 goals in 37 matches for the club.
In 2008 FC Illichivets Mariupol welcomed Ivashchenko into the fold, but six months later he moved to Arsenal Kyiv. The 2009/10 season was marked by player’s return to FC Obolon Kyiv. But at the end of the season Oleksandr again joined Kryvbas, where he currently performs.
