A Ukrainian footballer Oleksandr Kasyan plays as a forward for Karpaty Lviv. He was born on 27 January 1989 in Bezimenne, Ukrainian SSR.
Oleksandr started his junior career at Illichivets Mariupol in 2001. He spent 4 years at the club’s academy, turning into one of the best juniors of its youth department. His success was noticed by Shakhtar Donetsk and the young forward was invited to trial at the club. In 2005, Kasyan became a member of a new youth team. He performed for the squad during a year and in 2006 he joined the main team.
The debut season was marked with 34 goals scored in 12 matches for Shakhtar-3. In 2008, Oleksandr joined the main squad, but made no appearances at all and was sent on loan to Illichivets for a year. During the spell, the forward made 26 appearances and netted 5 goals.
In the summer 2010, the footballer was loaned out by Zorya Luhansk, where he was groomed during half a year, making 21 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2011, Kasyan played for Illichivets Mariupol. He spent half a season with the temporary squad. In 2012, he moved to Karpaty Lviv.
In 2005, Oleksandr started his international career. He performed for the Ukraine national youth team at U-17 and U-21 levels.
