Oleksandr Kovpak is a professional football striker playing for Sevastopol. He was born on February 2, 1983 in Smila, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
Having finished training at his local football school of Lokomotiv, he was offered to sign his first-ever professional contract with Dnipro Cherkasy FC. The young footballer showed his best scoring abilities and soon became one of the key forward line players. Over two seasons he stabbed 22 goals in 47 matches for the club.
The next club Oleksandr Kovpak played for was called Tavriya Simferopol SC. There again he was one of the first-choice players on the pitch. Over 5 years and 6 months the striker scored 41 goals in 142 games for Tavriya Simferopol SC.
In January 2011, Oleksandr Kovpak signed a contract for three years with Arsenal Kyiv FC playing in the Ukrainian Premier League.
However, he switched for Sevastopol in January 2013.
In 2005, the forward made his debut and only appearance at the international level for the Ukraine National U21 Football Team.
