Oleksiy Hai is a midfielder for Chornomorets Odesa. He was born on 6 November 1982 in Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
Oleksiy spent most of his career at the Miners, making his debut for the Donetsk club in 2000. Until 2004 he regularly played for the club, totaling 72 appearances and 8 goals. But Oleksiy wasn’t able to gain a foothold in the first team of Shakhtar and thus was sent to Illichivets Mariupol in the summer of 2004. Oleksiy shortly bacame a regular at the club and made a total of 55 appearances and scored 11 goals for two years with Lenintsi.
In 2006 Oleksiy returned to Shakhtar and over the next five seasons he took part in 105 matches of Shakhtar, including various European events. In 2009 Hai and his club won the UEFA Cup, after which he received the title of Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine.
In the summer 2013 Oleksiy made a move to Chornomorets Odesa.
Oleksiy Hai totaled 25 caps and scored 3 goals for the Ukraine U-19 team and 13 caps and one goal for the Ukraine U-21 team. Since 2001, he is capped to the senior Ukraine side.
