Oliver Sorg was born on May, 29 1990 in Engen, Germany.
He started his career in junior teams of Hegauer FV and FC Singen 04. The player spent several years in Hegauer and after that moved to Singen to field for it until 2006. Before the season 2006/07 started, he was transferred to SC Freiburg. After appearing in matches for the junior U-17 and U-19 teams the footballer started playing for the reserve squad Freiburg II. In junior teams of all levels Oliver showed impressive results and so got the opportunity to play football professionally. What is more, he won the German Cup with his junior team and after that became a first-string player and the captain of the team. Soon he moved to the reserve squad. From 2009 to 2012 he took part in 68 games. At the end of January 2012 Oliver was invited to join the main squad where he made his first appearance on January, 21 in the match against FC Augsburg. After that the footballer signed his first professional contract for several seasons. He was capped for the main squad for half a season having taken part in seventeen matches but with not a single score. Now he is in the list of SC Freiburg main squad again though he has to prove his efficiency to the management of the club.
