A French footballer Olivier Sorlin plays at the midfielder position for Évian Thonon Gaillard FC. Most of his career developed in French football clubs.
While at Rennes during his sixth season the midfielder made use of the opportunity to play abroad. In January 2009 he was given out on loan to PAOKFC.
That loan which lasted for six months was very successful. In June 2009 Olivier signed a new contract for two years with the club after PAOK and Rennes settled the matter.
On 29 August 2010 after the first match of the 2010/11season Sorlin asked to cancel the contract referring to family problems. That is why the player had to return to France. Playing in Ligue 2 he had already signed a contract with Évian in order to develop his career in France.
