A Turkish footballer Orhan Ak was born on 29 September 1979 in Sakarya. The player is famous for his speed and his long throws. He’s also known to be a footballer with good heading ability.
A starting point for his professional career to begin was in 1996, when he was hired by Kocaelispor. Orhan got the taste of trophy-winning, when the club was crowned the champion of the Turkish Cup. The player stayed at the club until 2003, making 77 appearances. During the spell he was loaned out by Kuşadasıspor. He spent the 1998/1999 with the temporary team appearing 17 times and scoring two goals.
In 2003, Galatasaray took an interest in the defender. Ak penned the contract and started a new wonderful stage of his career. He clinched into the starting squad and became the regular of the team. In total, he made 81 appearances and amassed five goals. Orhan also won the Turkish Cup under the flag of Galatasaray. In 2005, he was a part of the squad that brought a victory in the Süper Lig. He served a season-long loan to Ankaraspor during his spell with Galatasaray. He made 12 appearances for the temporary squad.
After such a performance, many clubs were in for Ak, when the transfer window had opened. The defender opted to Join Antalyaspor, where he remained until 2010. The 2010/2011 season would find Orhan defending Bucaspor. In 2011, a deal was finalized with Boluspor. The footballer scored one goal in 13 matches over the course of the season. In 2012, it was announced that Orhan Ak would become an official member of Elazığspor. One year later he joined Istanbul BB.
Orhan used to play for the Turkey national youth team at U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-21 levels. He won three caps with the squad. In 2004, the defender earned his first call for the Turkey full side. He made three appearances for the national squad.
