Orhan Şam. Biography

Orhan Şam is a footballer playing for Eskişehirspor. He was born on June 1, 1986 in Karadeniz Ereğli, Turkey. He started playing football in early childhood and took part in different local and regional football tournaments. In 1996 he started playing football at a youth squad of Erdemirspor, but in 2001 was transferred to Gençlerbirliği where he stayed for 2 years.

The footballer’s professional career started in 2003 at the same club, Gençlerbirliği. Till the year of 2011 Orhan Şam took part in 59 matches and managed to score 4 goals for the club. In the season of 2004/2005 and from 2006 till 2009 the defender was loaned by Hacettepe and captained the team. In the season of 2005/2006 he came on loan to Mardinspor, where he made 31 appearances and scored twice.

Orhan Şam joined Fenerbahçe before the season 2011/2012. The 4-year contract with the footballer cost €3.5 million. However, two years later the player switched for Kasimpasa.
