Otman Bakkal was born on February 27, 1985 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Bakkal is a Dutch attacking midfielder. Otman’s professional career began at Philips Sport Vereniging. After signing the contract, he was included into the final squad for the forthcoming 2003/2004 campaign in the Eredivisie. But Bakkal appeared on the field rarely and only occasionally played as a replacement. Otman spent the 2004/2005 season at Den Bosch making only 6 first-team appearances.
In 2005 Otman enjoyed a successful part of his career with Eindhoven. During the 2005/2006 season he was entrusted a place in the first squad. He played 33 games, bagging 8 goals in total.
Otman Bakkal spent the 2006/2007 spell with top-flight side Twente. In that club he featured in 31 matches, blasting 3 goals. In 2007 Bakkal returned to PSV where he got a place in the starting lineup. In 2011 the midfielder was transferred to Feyenoord. During that time, he managed 9 goals in 29 games.
In 2012 Bakkal signed a permanent deal with Dinamo Moscow but only featured in 4 matches during a season. After that he returned to Feyenoord.
In 2007, Otman made his mark at international level as he was included into the Netherlands U21. In 2009 he was also drafted into the Netherlands national football team.
