Pablo Barrientos is an attacking midfielder for Catania. He was born on 17 January, 1985 in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina.
Pablo’s professional career began in 2003 when he signed his first professional contract with San Lorenzo. For three years Argentine midfielder regularly appeared in the starting lineup of the club, totaling 72 matches and 7 goals.
In 2006 Pablo Barrientos penned a deal with FC Moscow from the Russian Premier League. Pablo periodically appeared in the starting lineup for two seasons, making 33 appearances and scoring 6 goals. In 2008 the management decided to send Barrientos out on loan, because he was short of match practice. Pablo was sent back on loan to San Lorenzo, where he played 20 matches and scored 8 goals for the 2008/09 season.
In 2009 Barrientos was bought by Italian Serie A side Catania. In 2011 Barrientos was loaned to Estudiantes, where he made a total of 13 appearances during the 2011/12 season.
In 2004 Pablo Barrientos played 15 matches and scored 6 goals for the Argentina U-20 national team.
