Pablo Ibáñez is a Spanish back. He was born on 3 August 1981 in Madrigueras, Spain.
In 1997, Pablo joined the academy of Albacete and spent two years preparing for a professional start. In 1999, the footballer graduated to the reserve squad of the club, where he performed during three years. In 2002, Ibáñez moved to the main team and netted two goals in 75 fixtures during two seasons.
In 2004, the back transferred to Atlético Madrid and started to make occasional appearances for the new club. However, Pablo managed to clinch a regular place rather soon and fired nine goals in 156 matches for the team during six years.
In 2010, the footballer sealed a deal with West Bromwich Albion and found the net one time in ten games for ‘The Baggies’ during one season. In the summer 2011, Birmingham City secured Ibáñez’s services and saw him make 19 appearances for the team.
From 2002 till 2003, the back took part in ten matches for the Spain national U-21 squad. From 2004 till 2008, Pablo was capped 23 times for the senior national team.
