Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is a forward of Southampton. He was born on 12 January 1986 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Pablo’s youth career began in 1995 in Lanus youth squad. Osvaldo was part of the academy for 4 years until he joined Banfiel Youth Team in 1999, where he continued to climb up the academy ladder till 2000. That year Pablo moved to Huracan Youth Team, where he ended his youth career and began to play pro football.
In 2005 Pablo signed a contract with Huracan, where he made 33 appearances and scored 11 goals in 2005/06 season. The start of his career was successful and the following year Osvaldo was signed by Italian Atalanta. However, Pablo failed to live up to Atalanta’s expectations and in summer 2006 was sent to Lecce, where he scored eight goals in 31 appearances for the club in 2006/07 season.
In 2007 Osvaldo signed a contract with Fiorentina FC. During two years with the club Pablo Daniel Osvaldo played 51 matches and scored 5 times. In 2009 he signed for Bologna, spending one season there and netting only 3 goals in 25 appearances.
In January 2010 he was loaned to the Spanish club Espanyol, scoring 7 goals in 20 matches within 6 months. He lived up to the club’s expectations and Osvaldo’s loan deal with Espanyol was turned into a long-term deal. The Argentine striker scored 13 goals in 24 matches over 2010/2011 season spent in Spanish Espanyol.
In 2011 Osvaldo was sold to Roma and spent two successfull seasons with the club.
After that he was lured to an English side Southampton. Things were not going smoothly for Osvaldo at Southampton and in January 2014 he was loaned to Juventus.
From 2007 till 2008 Pablo was called to play in the Italy U21, where he made 12 appearances and netted two goals. Since 2011 he has played for the Italian national team.
