Paddy Kenny is a goalkeeper, born on 17 May 1978 in Halifax, England.
In 1997, Paddy started to perform for Bradford Park Avenue on professional basis. The young footballer was given an opportunity to show his skills at once, and he used it in 42 matches during the début season.
In 1998, Kenny drew the attention of various English clubs, but Bury beat off the competition for the keeper from the rivals and sealed a long-term deal with the player. After one year with the new team, Paddy went on loan to Whitby Town and made eight appearances before returning to his parent Bury, where he became a first-choice goalie and took part in 133 fixtures during three years.
In 2002, Sheffield United secured Kenny’s services on loan in order to see the keeper in action. The footballer managed to impress the management and was offered a move on permanent basis. The same year, Paddy penned a contract with ‘The Blades’ and featured in 278 matches for the club during eight seasons.
In 2010, the goalie transferred to London side Queens Park Rangers and helped his new team to retain a place in the Premier League by making 77 appearances during two years.
In 2012, Kenny finalized a move to Leeds United and spent two season with the club.
From 2004 till 2006, the footballer was capped seven times for the Republic of Ireland national squad.
