Panagiotis Lagos is a Greek footballer born on 18 July 1985 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Panagiotis signed his first professional contract with his hometown top-division club Iraklis Thessaloniki in 2002. Thanks to his constantly good club performances, Lagos was awarded the Greek Young Footballer of the year twice, in 2005 and 2006. Overall, he scored 10 goals in 76 appearances during his four-year stint at the club.
In 2006, Lagos joined the Superleague side AEK Athens. He shortly established himself as a prominent player. Panagiotis enjoyed a meteoric rise at the end of the 2010/11 season when together with his side he became the Greek Cup winner. Having made 91 appearances for the Greel club Lagos joined a Ukrainian Vorskla Poltava in 2013 but did not last long and left the club in January 2014.
In 2006, Panagiotis Lagos got a first taste of international action in a match against Korea Republic. He was a part of the Greece national team during the 2004 Summer Olympics and was also capped for a Euro 2012 qualifier against Malta.
