Paul Coutts is a midfielder of Derby County. He was born on 22 July 1988 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Paul spent the last year of his junior career in the academy of Aberdeen. In 2005, the footballer made a senior start with Cove Rangers, as he penned a long-term professional contract with the club. Coutts adjusted to the new level of performance and made a lot of starts and sub appearances, because the head coach gave the midfielder as much playing practice as he could.
In 2008, Paul transferred to Peterborough United and took part in 53 fixtures for the new team during two years.
In 2010, the footballer sealed a long-term deal with Preston North End and fired four goals in 77 games for the club during two years. Coutts was a regular and missed only several matches for Preston during his spell.
In the summer 2012, the midfielder’s services were secured by Derby County.
