Paul Jason Green is a midfielder, born on 10 April 1983 in Pontefract, England.
Paul started to play football in the academy of Doncaster Rovers and penned his first senior contract with the club in 2001. The player’s début for the first squad came in March 2002, when Green was 19 years old. He took part in 277 fixtures and amassed 33 goals for ‘Donny’ till 2008.
In 2008, the footballer transferred to Derby County and made his first appearance for the new team in August the same year. In March 2009, Paul got an injury when training and was sentenced to the life without football till the end of the season. In August the same year, the midfielder got a leg injury, but decided to continue his performance. However, the injury took a turn for the worse, and Green had to have a surgery, which ruled him out for another two months. In April 2011, the footballer got another trauma, which kept him out of action till November.
In June 2012, Leeds United secured Green’s services on permanent basis. After a brief loan spell with Ipswich Town in 2014, Green moved to Rotherham United.
From 2010, the midfielder has been capped 13 times and contributed one goal for the Republic of Ireland national squad.
