Paul Papp is a Romanian defender, playing for Chievo. He was born in 1989 and began his professional playing career at Unirea Dej. The first half of the 2008/09 season he spent with FC Botoșani. His performances there attracted attention of several football clubs and in January 2009 Papp joined FC Vaslui. There he made his debut on 17 May 2009 and in September 2009 he was sent to Farul Constanța on loan, but soon returned to FC Vaslui. On 22 March 2010 Papp netted his first goal for the team in the match against Rapid Bucureşti. Throughout the 2009/10 season he was a regular player and helped his side to finish third in the league. The following season FC Vaslui finished the third as well. Paul Papp left Romania for Italy, signing for AC ChievoVerona before the start of the 2012/13 season.
He played for the Romania U19 and U21 team. His debut was the qualification game for the 2011 European Under-21 Championship. His first senior team cap came on 8 February 2011 and that was the match against Ukraine.
